High Speed Doors in Pottsville
When a high speed door stalls, sticks open or gets clipped by a forklift, traffic backs up and heat walks out the opening. We repair, adjust and install high speed doors for warehouses, plants and receiving docks, and we tell you straight what the door needs.

What we do with high speed doors
A high speed door opens and closes many times faster than a standard overhead door. That speed keeps forklift lanes moving, holds temperature in cold rooms and cuts down on dust and drafts between areas. It also means more cycles in a day, so small problems show up fast.
We work on fabric roll-up doors with flexible curtains, doors with breakaway or self-resetting curtains, and rigid high speed doors. Most calls come down to a handful of things: a damaged curtain, a sensor that has drifted, a worn guide or a drive and controller that throws faults.
We treat your facility the way we would want a neighbor to treat ours. We look at the whole door, explain what we find, show you photos, and fix what needs fixing. If a repair makes more sense than a new door, we say so.
What the work covers
- Curtain repair and replacement
- We patch or replace torn panels, windows and wind bars. On breakaway doors we reset the curtain into the guides and check that it releases and re-feeds the way it should.
- Safety sensors and edges
- We test light curtains, photo eyes and reversing edges and realign or replace them. A door that runs fast has to stop and reverse reliably when something is in the way.
- Activation devices
- Motion sensors, pull cords, push buttons and floor loops all get checked. We set detection zones so the door opens for a forklift without cycling every time someone walks past.
- Drive, motor and controls
- We read fault codes, check the motor and brake, and adjust open and close limits and speeds. Worn parts are quoted before we replace them.
- Guides, seals and side columns
- Bent guides and worn brush or rubber seals let air through and make the curtain bind. We straighten or replace them so the door seals at the sides and the floor.
- New door installation
- When a door is past saving, we can supply and install a new high speed door sized for your opening and traffic. Our Loading Dock Equipment Sales page covers choosing equipment in more detail.
Signs your high speed door needs service
It stops partway or reverses for no reason
This usually points to a dirty or misaligned sensor, a loose wire or a limit that has drifted. It is worth fixing before people start propping the door open.
The curtain is torn or keeps popping out
A curtain that pulls out of the guides after every bump may need a new section, straighter guides or a reset of the breakaway feature.
It opens slower than it used to
A sluggish door can mean motor or brake wear, a drive problem or a curtain dragging in a bent guide.
Drafts, frost or dust at the opening
Worn seals and gaps at the floor let cold air and grime through. In a Schuylkill County winter that shows up quickly on heating bills and in cold rooms.
Fault codes or odd noises
Grinding, banging at the top of travel or a controller that keeps showing the same fault are early warnings. Catching them early is cheaper than a failed motor.
What drives the price of high speed door work
No two doors or problems are alike, so we set the price once we've seen it. Before any work, we go over every part and labor line with you. These factors change the total the most.
Size and kind of door
Working on a big freezer door with insulated panels and heaters runs higher than a small fabric door inside the building.
Which parts it takes
Adjusting a sensor doesn't take long. A replacement curtain, motor or controller brings parts cost and sometimes a wait for delivery.
Impact damage
A forklift strike can tear the curtain and also bend the guides and side columns. Each extra part pulled in makes the job larger.
Reach and scheduling
Doors mounted high, narrow aisles or work timed around your shifts can mean more hours on site.
How a service visit goes
- 1
We talk on the phone first
You tell us the door type, what it is doing and how busy that opening is. We plan a time that keeps your traffic moving as much as possible.
- 2
We look before we touch
On site we run the door, read any fault codes and check the curtain, sensors, guides and drive. We take photos of what we find.
- 3
You get a clear answer
We explain what is wrong, what it takes to fix it and whether repair or replacement makes more sense. Nothing gets replaced without your okay.
- 4
We fix it and keep the area safe
We block off the opening while we work and keep your people clear of the door. Our crew is first aid and CPR certified, which matters on a busy dock floor.
- 5
We test and clean up
We cycle the door many times, test every safety device with you watching and leave the area clean. Labor on our work carries a 1-year labor warranty.

High speed door questions
Can you repair a door from a brand you didn't install?
Usually, yes. Most high speed doors use similar curtains, sensors and drives. We check the door first and let you know if a part has to come from the maker.
Our forklift drivers keep hitting the door. What can we do?
A breakaway or self-resetting curtain cuts repair costs a lot on busy openings. Better sensor placement and faster opening can help too. We can look at your traffic and suggest what fits.
Is it worth fixing an old high speed door?
Often it is, if the frame and drive are sound. If the controller is obsolete or parts are hard to get, replacement can cost less over time. We show you both options and let you decide.
Do you warranty your repairs?
Yes. Our work comes with a 1-year labor warranty. Parts are covered by whatever the parts maker offers.
Can regular service keep the door from failing?
Regular checks catch worn seals, drifting sensors and brake wear before they stop the door. Our Loading Dock Preventative Maintenance service can include your high speed doors along with your dock levelers and overhead doors.
