Towns We Drive To

Our base is Pottsville, and most of our work sits a short drive away. We regularly head south to Schuylkill Haven and Orwigsburg, west to Minersville, and north through St. Clair, Frackville, Shenandoah and Mahanoy City. North Manheim, Wayne and Butler are on our list too. If your dock is close by and the town isn't named here, ask when you call. Odds are we already pass your way.

Distance doesn't change how we work. A receiving dock behind a grocery store in Shenandoah gets the same careful look as a distribution center in Schuylkill Haven. We check the leveler, the door, the restraint and the bumpers. We show you what we found, with photos when it helps, and give you an honest repair-or-replace answer. Then we clean up and get out of the way of your trucks. It's how we'd want a neighbor to treat our own shop.

What We See at Docks Around Here

  1. 01

    Older buildings, older equipment

Plenty of industrial and retail buildings in the area have been working for decades. Many still run original pit levelers, manual doors or no vehicle restraint at all. We repair what's there, and when it's time for new equipment we fit it to the pits and openings you already have.

  2. 02

    Winter is hard on docks

Cold, snow and road salt wear on dock equipment every year. Hydraulic oil thickens and slows a leveler down. Door springs work harder. Seals and weatherstrips crack, and salt brine eats at hinges and lip plates. Preventative maintenance in the fall catches most of this before the first freeze.

  3. 03

    Permits and code

Most dock repair doesn't need a permit. New openings, structural changes and some electrical work can, and the rules differ from one borough or township to the next. If your job needs one, we tell you up front and handle the steps so the work meets code.

  4. 04

    Working around your shifts

Freight keeps coming when a door is broken. We plan repairs around your receiving schedule, keep a bay open when we can, and tell you how long each door will be down before we start. Less downtime, fewer surprises for your dock crew.
